Espresso bar, doughnuts, roastery. Boone, NC.
As I pull into the parking lot the smell of fresh roasting coffee, slightly burnt but oh so pleasantly so, fills the air. See the smoke from the roaster.
On to the coffee. Nice americano, scent of cocoa powder, woody, raw walnut flavor.
Busy place with sit down customers and a line at the drive-thru. Tables inside and out with bar/row seating as well. The roaster is out in the open in a front corner. Hundred-pound sacks of coffee all around.
Homemade donuts in a variety of flavors.
Switch to pour over. Colombian, medium roast. Grassy, I think. Quite distinctive, whatever it is. Maybe it's a fruit flavor I can't figure out. Not my favorite but I would take it.
Too busy to chat with the crew. No bags of the espresso or the Colombian for me to comapre my taste with ther notes and scant information on website.
Overall a really nice local coffee roastery and coffeeshop.
